Program Philosophy

The School District of Monroe believes that all students who are deaf and hard of hearing have the right to communicate in whatever language and modality best meets each child's needs and the needs of their family. Each student has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) in which the parent(s)/guardian(s) along with teachers and administrators discuss what type of communication, services and resources will best meet the needs of each child.
