Transitions are an important part of any child's education. They are especially important for students with hearing loss. We view transitions as not only the change from grade to grade but also the important transition into life after the Monroe School District.
Grade to Grade Transition
The D/HH Teachers and the other teachers working with your child meet prior to your child entering each grade level. Each child's hearing loss, services and educational needs are discussed so that each child's needs may be met appropriately. If the child is transitioning from building to building teachers from each building will meet to make the transition as smooth as possible for each child. Teachers meet before each semester at Monroe Middle and High School.
